According to the tradition of the Rule of St. Benedict, the Benedictine monastery "Schottenstift" also runs a guesthouse. The bed-and-breakfast style “Benediktushaus” is embedded in the large historical buildings complex in the center of Vienna. It was established in 1980 and extensively renovated over the last years.

Our guests value the very quietly situated rooms looking out onto one of the tree-lined courtyards of the monastery. Therefore, and to respect our guests’ wishes, we deliberately choose not to equip any of the rooms with TVs or radios. On each floor there are only a few guestrooms. The spacious and bright corridors are inviting to spend time in.

The third and fourth floor have been completely renovated and redecoratedWe are pleased to offer you - besides the standard single and twin rooms - ten even more comfortable, elegantly furnished double bedded, triple and quadruple rooms.

Enjoy the monasterial quietness in the center of Vienna and experience the special atmosphere of Benediktushaus.
